The Venus of Villendorf - Isn't she beautiful?

Melbourne Galleries this week

These are just two of the works by Geoffrey Ricardo on show at Australian Galleries.
A huge collection of prints and the star of the show - a life size Rhinoceros - Anno Domino 2009
copper and stainless steel, patinated and painted - 210 x 440 x 110 cm

These stunning new works (below) by Richard Dunlop are currently exhibited at the James Makin Gallery in Melbourne. Photographs do the works no justice, the rich textural layering overpainted in translucent black are breathtaking. Patches of glowing colour dot the canvas as it illuminated from within. Needless to say I was impressed and depressed I couldn't afford one, even the small 20x20cm were out of reach.

Some Monash Talent

These fabulous sculptures, made from card are by Louis Patterson, Third Year Arts Student - these works will soon be shown at the Switchback Gallery from November 17th.

These three works in wood have been created by Michael Gallop, he has an exhibition at Australian Galleries in Melbourne at the moment. They are wonderful, the attention to detail is stunning.
